What is .ZIP?

The ZIP file type is primarily associated with 'Compressed Archive File'. A .ZIP file is a compressed archive.
It can contain only one file or many files in multiple directories. ZIP utilities allow you to extract single files or a complete directory structure. The ZIP file format is a common archive and compression standard. This module provides tools to create, read, write, append, and list a ZIP file. Any advanced use of this module will require an understanding of the format, as defined in PKZIP Application Note.

If you can't send to a compressed or zipped folder with right click on your documents or multimedia, you may not have a zip software program installed.

Extracts almost anything thrown to it smoothly. It even can separate audio part and video part of any video. It easily combines the split files downloaded from sites like mediafire etc. It can even work with mac files likes .dmg inside windows.

How-To Use ZIP Compressor?

1. Click on all the files you want to zip while holding the CTRL key.
2. Choose the "Send to" option from the drop down menu which appears after you right click on the mouse.
3. From the secondary menu, choose "Compressed or Zipped Folder" which creates a new Zipped folder appearing as a new icon.
4. You can upload the zipped files by selecting the icon after you click on the application's "Browse" function. Second Option
5. Create a new file by clicking right on the mouse and selecting "New" on the drop down menu. On the secondary menu, choose "Zipped file".
6. Type in your preferred name for the file when a new menu pops up which will prompt you to do so. Remember that the file name should end in .zip.
7. Put all the files you want in this new folder.
8. Again, the zipped file can be uploaded by clicking on its icon after selecting the application's "Browse" function.
